Comptroller Takes Issue With Monroe County LDC

Criticizing Monroe County LDC for shifting of operating expenses to an LDC, the Comptroller suggests that this further evidences a pattern of  abuse of LDCs.  The SOC’s audit (link below) recommends that Monroe County cease using LDCs to finance operating expenses and revise its RFP process.  The Comptroller has previously proposed legislation for oversight reforms to expand the OSC’s audit authority over LDCs.
