Legislation to Amend the Public Authorities Reform Act of 2007 Introduced

After five years of experience with PARA, legislation has been introduced  (S 5820-B; A 7798-B ) to revise a small number of the procedural requirements of the Act to increase transparency and reduce duplicative reporting, including (i) allowing selected information to be placed on the authority web site rather than reported through PARIS, and (ii) adding the NYS Comptroller as a recipient of certain public authority reports  which previously were submitted only to the Legislature and Authority Budget Office.  The amendments are technical, and do not alter the substantive provisions of the Act.
